Denmark’s “Stop Food Waste” Movement is Gaining Momentum

Selina Juul's newest blog post on food waste outlines the many ways that Denmark is leading the way to stopping food waste in Europe. Denmark has reduced their national food waste by 25% in the last five years which is in part because of the cooperation of the government and various industries who are adopting food waste reduction practices. Denmark is home to food waste supermarket, restaurants, and various other initiatives such as the Partnership against Food Waste which is a government initiative. There's even food waste products that are made from surplus food that are available to buy at Irma supermarkets. Denmark proves that food waste can be affordable on a national scale and helps lead a more sustainable lifestyle.
