Emma Watson is known for both her inspiring activism and her incredible fashion and it came as no surprise that she combined both those things for the 2016 Met Gala. This year's theme was 'Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology' and Watson wore a 5-piece pantsuit collaboration by Calvin Klein and Eco-Age's creative director, Livia Firth for the Green Carpet Challenge which inspires fashion designers to incorporate recycled and sustainable materials and practices into their red carpet designs. Watson's dress was made entirely of Newlife yarn which is a luxury yarn made out of recycled plastic bottles, the zippers on the dress were also manufactured using recyclable materials and the bustier was lined with organic cotton. Margot Robbie and Lupita Nyong'o also took up the challenge with their own gowns which were made using eco-friendly practices and materials. Emma Watson's stunning ensemble proved that the future of fashion is conscious and that beauty can be found in sustainability.
